Charters » Summer Evening Cruise
Boat Hire Overview
The long summer evenings are perfect for a boat trip out of Kinsale to watch the sun go down…
Description:
We depart from the Water Activity Marina by the Trident Hotel. Cruising out of the historic harbour of Kinsale, with the 17th century Charles Fort on your left and James Fort on your right, signalling your departure.
Once in the open waters of Kinsale Bay we pass Sandycove Island, on course for the Old Head of Kinsale; a magnificent peninsula stretching five miles out into the Atlantic from the mainland; home of the prestigious Old Head Golf Links. We head back, passing through the Sovereign Islands; cruising alongside the caves of Holeopen Bay East, snatching glimpses of Holeopen Bay West through the cliff.
Watch the sun set while keeping an eye open for basking sharks, dolphins, sun fish and seals, which frequent our waters at certain times of the year. We can stop along the way, to collect fresh mackerel (when in season) to feed the resident seal in Kinsale harbour.
Duration
